Can I spend less than $200 for total body exercise machine?

Should I get an elliptical, exercise bike, or stepper? Or what?  I’m going to get moving arms with whatever I decide.  Which is best for abs & legs?  I don’t think an elliptical will offer much resistance training.

  • I really like using my resistance bands because I don’t have gym equipment taking up space in my house. I also take them with me when I travel

You’re going to be hard-pressed to find a machine for under $200 that will give you a total body workout and the level of resistance you want to work your abs. Plus, machines just have an up and down or back and forth motion. That reduced range of motion is going to cause you to miss working out some of your muscles.

My suggestion is to get a set of resistance bands. You can get a complete set for under $50. A basic tension set has up to 88 lbs of resistance and a Super Strong Man set has up to 254 lbs of resistance. Even the SSM set is still under $100. Click here to view all resistance bands.

I personally love the elliptical. I know Costco on line sold those a few months back, and they might still have them….They were a good price. Also, craigslist.org is a good place if you want nice but used.
