Do resistance bands do anything but tone?
Just looking for something to do in the morning (I lift and play ball at night) before I go to work. I saw TO uses resistance bands in the regular season, but do they do anything but tone or do they actually help gain mass? Obviously the dude is cut, but does a TON of weight training in the offseason.
So they don’t do anything at all… period.?

People, people, people. For those of you who think resistance bands are a wimpy form of wasted exercise, I urge you to watch Chiseled, an intense resistance bands workout show from the makers of Bodylastics resistance bands. It’s free, so check it out. You can do more than just stand on them and do biceps curls.
T.O. uses Bodylastics bands. Bodylastics has free daily live streaming workouts using them. You can watch them here.
When considering the dangerous advice being offered to you by Mario, I would ask you to consider the fact that he is pretty clearly a near illiterate. I have never touched a steroid (or almost any supplement) in my life and am more than willing to test my conditioning against the vast majority of men my age.
resistance bands can be used to supplement any weight training regimen. I think they might be limited for a sole workout tool, but I imagine somebody creative could use them in a pinch to get a total body workout. I use them primarily as part of my leg training–I use them for monster walks. It provides a great workout for the abductor muscles.
u cant tone body without supplements like creatine or hmb or steroids
I am bodybuilder iv been takin steroids for 5 years now and this only tone your body but if you want body you really lookin for you gotta take something b/c workin out without nothin is a waste
resistance bands do not tone muscle. muscle tone or muscle definition is a direct reflection of the diet and the level of intensity at which exercise is performed at.
Edit:
resistance bands provide a limited amount of resistance. they are best used by those completely new to resistance training. for a person that weight trains they would offer no measurable benefit except when covering from injury and normal weight lifting could not be performed. using resistance of any form does not automatically decrease body fat. ultimately the diet determines the level of body fat not the types of exercises that are performed.
You won’t see much of a result from them. Basic toning if you work hard with them, but they’re seriously boring to work with! You’re better off with a swiss ball.
