How can I tone my legs? Nothing’s working for me

 

How do I get thinner legs?  I workout approximately 6 times a week (usually). I try and do 200 or more minutes of cardio a week followed by some resistance training. My biggest problem is my thighs, no matter what I do, I can’t seem to make them tone up. I can’t seem to get rid of the flabbiness on the backs and middles despite lots of cardio and weight training.

Am I doing something wrong? Am I just missing something?
I eat pretty healthy, I like my pizza and chocolate-but not on a regular basis.
I’m pretty good at monitoring my calorie intake, and i’m usually pretty right on within maybe 50-100 to what i’ve calculated i should be eating.

    Try taking your body fat percentage. You can buy a cheap pair of calipers for about $5.00. It could be it’s high. If so you might have to adjust your eating. I know a lot of people who are in tremendous condition, but are fat because they eat too much. What helps me is writing down on a piece of paper every type of food I take in. For example: Protein, Whole Grains, Milk, Fruits and Vegetables. If I am within my boundaries of 1600 Calories a day, I lose weight. Everyone’s daily intake will be different. If you e-mail me your age, weight and height I can tell you exactly how much you should be taking in.

    Impressive amount of training you are doing, my friend. But . . . how’s your diet? All the training in the world is not going to initiate fat loss unless your diet is also geared towards leaning up. If your weight has remained the same for a long time, chances are you are eating to maintain, not lose, weight. This doesn’t mean you need to eat less necessarily; it does mean that you should probably start journaling your meals and see how many calories you are consuming versus how many calories you are burning. If there is a discrepancy (chances are, there is), you won’t lose weight. Do this asap so you don’t waste your valiant efforts in the gym.
    P.S. That’s great that you eat healthy; however, eating healthy doesn’t mean that you are getting the right number of calories a day and at the right times. Perhaps you should consider speaking to a licensed nutritionist who can figure out the numbers for you. It is probably something as simple as getting your caloric consumption right, since you are training very hard.
