I have scoliosis. Should I be doing back exercises?
I am 20 and have scoliosis. I am rarely able to keep my back straight throughout the day without feeling some sort of pain or discomfort. I jump rope instead of run because it’s easier on my back. Would back exercises make my pain worse, or would it be better for my back? Scientific studies and legitimate sources would be ideal.

What did your doctor recommend? You can do these low impact back exercises with Bodylastics resistance bands.
Yes you will be sorry 20 years from now if you don’t do back exercises.
See a specialist & get referral to physical therapist who will show you which stretches & exercises to do. Don’t try to decide for yourself which ones to do.
It will take a couple months of exercises daily (maybe twice daily) for improvement in pain.
This is standard procedure for those with scoliosis.
