Should I be varying my workout routine at the gym?
I heard that you should do cardio one day and then do resistance training the next day so that your body doesn’t become complacent and not burn the fat or tone the muscles as well. Is that true? I do both each time I go to the gym.

Don’t forget to stretch! You don’t want to hurt your muscles. It’s good to alter your routine, but be careful not to overwork yourself! Do you work out every day or only a set number of days? That could alter what sort of program you do
Warm up with cardio, do your resistance/strength training, then cool down with cardio.
It’s like with circuit training (excellent workout!). You’ve got cardio sets in between resistance training sets for faster fat burning. In fact you can do circuit training only 3x/week. Bodylastics has a very good circuit training DVD that you can order.
