No Workouts – Consequences of Vacations Without Gym

Hi everyone. I have a bit of an obsession with my weight. I’m about 5″9 and I weight 147 pounds with a fat percentage of 8.5 percent. I go to the gym everyday for about 3 hours, doing cardio and weight training (except on Wednesdays, when I do Yoga). I’m also taking L-Carnitine and CLA pills.
I’m going for vacations for a week. My question is, without taking the pills and without exercise, will I put too much weight in one week? I mean, everyone knows we eat more on holidays, so take that in consideration!

I think that as a person who works out 6 days a week, you scare the hell out of me. If there is such thing as over-doing it, that would qualify. I think that not only will you survive for that brutal one week vacation, it might be the best thing for you.
I’m not very experienced with stuff like this, but one thing i can say is don’t spoil your vacation by thinking too much about your excercise schedule. With a long term excercise plan, one week of slacking off is very insignificant unless you’re trying to lose weight.
Take a break and enjoy your vacation. Chances are you will not get "FAT" in a weeks time period. If you are that obsessed then go for a short run while on vac. Your body probably needs a break if you work out as much as you say.
i assume that you are telling the truth about your workout routine. Given that you really aren’t hurting yourself. there is a term called muscle memory. this is an occurrence where after a while of working out, you stop for no more than a month. after the break you get back into it. your muscles "remember" being the way they were while you were working out so they jump right back to it. A lot of pros’s do this. also you can do little things to help you keep of the weight. At barbeque’s you don’t’ have to eat all at once. eat a few bites, and then come back later for more when you feel a little hungry again. take the extra few steps wherever you go, and avoid being lazy as much as possible. the little things do help. I would stay on the pills however,as it is with any pill your body has to build up a "store" of it within you before it reaches its full potential. the break will give your body enough time to process nigh out to make it harder to get back in to the normal routine after your Vacation. JHC! 3 hours a day, every day (except Wed)! Are you f’ing nuts? If you want to keep the fat off, you ONLY need short intense workouts every other day.
Let me tell explain. I just bought a copy of the Fat Burning Furnace. The author used to do what you’re doing and stopped because he found a wayy to get better benefits with less work.
