Scrawny Body? Build Muscle and Strength

Hello, I am 6’2 but only 150 pounds, and sadly that weight is much more from fat than muscle. How can I start to strengthen my body and build muscle when I have next to none now?

I am currently looking to start a workout routine to build my body up, unfortunately almost every workout I’ve found is simply too much of a strain on my body. I have next to no endurance or physical strength and I wish to change this.

I am perfectly healthy, just terribly weak from not moving around too much.

I’m looking for specific ways to get my body used to exercise again.

    What type of workouts are you doing? To build muscle and strength you need resistance training. Your muscles need to be challenged, but if the workouts you’re doing are wearing you out too soon, then adjust the resistance level.

    That’s part of what’s so awesome with resistance bands. Take a look at the set shown below. See those clips on the end? They attach to the handles. If you aren’t being challenged enough, then increase the resistance. Too challenging and you can’t finish a set of reps? Then decrease the resistance.

    Ok, so what kind of workouts can you do with resistance bands? You can workout every major muscle group from head to toe because of the included door anchor which allows movement to be performed at multiple levels.

Chisled is the most intense, but if you can’t keep up, like I said, drop the resistance level. There’s another one caled TX2 for teens and that’s a little more moderate. Also, don’t shy away from the Pilates or Bodylastics Toning shows. They’re not just for women. If you can’t keep up with the other workouts, those are a great place to start.

    Don’t forget to feed your muscles. You need protein in your diet.
