<p>I want to gain some muscle, especially in my arms, shoulders and chest, but I do not really have the time to visit a gym. I also do not have room for weights in my apartment. Any suggestions?</p>
<p>Also, will eating more protein make my current muscle &#8220;stronger&#8221; or &#8220;tougher&#8221; without any additional &#8220;working out&#8221;? Some of the muscle I have &#8211; like in the arms &#8211; isn&#8217;t exactly &#8220;rock hard&#8221;.</p>
<p><strong>Answer:</strong></p>
<p>Protein is food for your muscles. Without protein, the muscles with eat themselves, so keep your muscles feed. Eat lean protein like chicken, turkey, or fish. Red meat, not so much. You can also get protein from non-meat sources. Just google &#8220;non-meat protein sources&#8221;. Any good vegetarian website can help you out. You can also drink protein powder shakes.</p>
<p>About the workout equipment. You don&#8217;t need to go to the gym and you don&#8217;t need weights, but you do need some kind of equipment that allows you to progressively add resistance to your workouts so you build muscle. Exercise without resistance will not build muscle.</p>
