Q: For some reason, every time i try doing an ab exercise, I always get back pains. It only occurs while i do the exercise. I am only 16 years old. The only thing that does not give me back pain is when i lay on a ball and do crunches. Does anyone know how to get rid of my back pain?

A: Your form might be bad. Have you been taught how to properly execute the exercise? Bodylastics, the resistance band people, have a free workout show called Eight Pack that you can do right at home. It’s part of their Live Exercise workout series. There are 10 shows in all. Scott, the instructor, is very good. He’ll give you some great ab exercises and show you how to do them.
