What exercises should I do to build chest muscles?

 

Q: I am a beginner and its only 2 weeks since I have started doing exercises. I have a skinny body with no good muscles on my chest (which I really wanna build). The problem is that many of my friends are discouraging me to do exercises on my own as they say that it would ruin the shape of my body which would be very difficult to bring to a normal shape afterwards. I cannot afford any trainer. What I exercises should I do for chest?
