<strong>Q:</strong> No matter WHAT I do, I can never seem to work off the fat on the back of my thighs, or my butt. What are the bext exercises for this? I recently got an at-home weight set where you can adjust the bench and lay flat on your stomach and curl the weights up behind you with your legs, is that a good one?</p>
<p><strong>A:</strong>  You can&#8217;t do isolation exercises for fat loss.  Isolation exercises will definitely work those specific muscles, but you can&#8217;t target fat loss.  The body loses fat all over, not just in one place.  Oh, and another misconception is turning fat into muscle.  I have to laugh every time I see that one because they are two different cell types.</p>
<p>The fastest way to lose fat is to build muscle with strength training.  You should be doing sets of reps and the weight should be high enough so that it&#8217;s very difficult to finish the last rep.  After these intense workouts, while the muscle is repairing itself, it&#8217;s burning that stored fat.  Click here for free <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://liveexerciseonline.com/free-exercises-for-resistance-bands/">leg exercises</a></span> that you can do with <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://liveexerciseonline.com/bodylastics/" rel="nofollow">resistance bands</a></span>.  You&#8217;ll be able to do more with them then a bench. </p>
<p>Also, if you want FAST fat loss on your legs, don&#8217;t just workout your legs.  You want complete, total body workouts.  Don&#8217;t ignore the rest of your body.  The more muscle you build, the faster the fat will melt off.  You can&#8217;t do total body workouts with a bench.  Get yourself a set of Bodylastics <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://liveexerciseonline.com/bodylastics/" rel="nofollow">resistance bands</a></span>.</p>

(the goal &#8211; to achieve a 6 pack + better endurance)</p>
<p>since I&#8217;ve got school, got to leave home by 7:15 am &#8211; return home by 4:00 pm</p>

<p>so heres the deal. ima 16 year old guy who 1, had no idea about any kinda working out reps and sets and that lingo, 2 have no way of getting to a gym or anything like that. so&#8230;</p>
<p>im looking for a simple workout mostly to keep my stomach skinny. i dont need a 6 pack and all that, i just wana keep slim. if anything els maybe some arm and pec but nothing &#8220;body builder&#8221; wise&#8230; thats just creepy looking to me =)</p>
<p>so anyways thats what im going for, at home without like weights and stuff. mostling looking for whats good like sit up&#8217;s, push ups etc.</p>

<p>What is the best way to tone without joining a gym?  I am a 23 year old female with what I guess you would call an average size build. Like every girl, I do have some problem areas though. My concerns are stomach and legs, mainly thighs. What are the best ways to tone these areas without bulking up with muscle? I have a <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://liveexerciseonline.com/folding-treadmill/" rel="nofollow">treadmill</a></span> at home. How do I use it properly so I tone but dont get bigger with muscle? I don&#8217;t want to join a gym either.</p>
