What are some good ab workouts I can do at home?
Q:ok, so i have a bench, bar, some free weights. they get the job done with most of the lifting but i have a lack of ab workouts in my routine! what are some good ab workouts i can fit into my routine with the equipment i have to help me get back into shape for lacrosse/beach season?
A: You said the equipment you have gets the job done with most of the lifting, but you have a lack of ab workouts. Then in the next sentence you want ab workouts with the equipment you have. ??? Maybe it’s time for some new equipment, huh. All you need is a set of Bodylastics resistance bands for a TOTAL body workout. Click here to get some free ab exercises…

Crunches are the best known. They are helpful in developing that six pack. But there are some other muscle groups that get neglected. Your core muscles can be developed with the "plank" exercise. Basically, you go into the "up" position of pushups, and hold it for as long as you can, while tightening your abs. You are making a plank out of your body. Try to hold for at least 15 seconds. If this makes your wrist sore, you can rest on your elbows instead of your hands. You can also do side planks. Its the same thing, only turn on your side and rest on your elbow, holding your body stiff and straight from the feet to the shoulder.
