What is the best way to build muscle at home, without going to the gym? What are the best at home gym systems (Total Gym, etc.)? What do you all recommend for an at home routine? I am looking to build muscle.

Skip the Total Gym. I have one and it’s sitting in the closet. They take up a lot of space because they are so looooong and while they are narrow, you still need plenty of clearance for arm and leg movements. I also didn’t like the herky-jerky movements at the end of a push or pull. You get a bit of slack in the cable and I found myself constantly slowly down near the end of a movement to avoid that. I’ve even had the cables come loose a time or two and it sends you flying down the bench.
