Whenever I do ab exercises my back hurts
Q: What do I do? Please give more in-depth answers on exactly what to do, not just something like “do more back exercises” please! Thank You!
A: You want in-depth answers on what to do, but you don’t give an in-depth description of what you’re doing. What kind of exercises are you doing and who showed you how to do them? Where is your back pain – upper, middle, lower? Form is sooooo important to prevent injury. Here’s what I mean – about a month ago I did my favorite workout, but forgot one very important thing, DO NOT ARCH THE BACK. OMG, did I every pay for it over the course of the next two weeks. Is that what you’re having, lower back pain?
How about getting your own personal trainer right in your own home to show you how to do those ab exercises – for FREE! Bodylastics offers a free workout show called Eight Pack. They’ve got 9 other free workouts, too. Just get yourself a set of Bodylastics resistance bands and workout at home without going to the gym.

Depends on which ab exercises you do. Some exercises put more work on your back than others. You’ll be moving your back in the first place for most ab exercises anyways. However other ab exercises you don’t work your back as much and you won’t accidentally work your back. Exercises like leg extensions shouldn’t use your back as much as sit ups.
