Which SIMPLE resistance training equipment do you like the best? Bands, other?
Question:
High on my priority list would be simplicity. I find that the only workouts I can stick to are the most uncomplicated ones. I like to “zone out” and listen to music and don’t want to have to memorize a long list of different routines. What do you like most, find the most comfortable, effective, etc.?

You don’t mention what your goals are. Toning? Strengthening? Building muscle? Losing fat?
When you say you like to zone out when working out, it makes me wonder if you enjoy getting “stuck” while doing some mindless ineffective workout like, oh, I don’t know, using the treadmill. Ok for cardio, but you say you want resistance.
resistance bands are the absolute best way to go because you can perform so many exercises with them, but you do have to switch from exercise to exercise with them in order to get a complete workout.
Once you figure out what you want to accomplish, you can spend just a few short minutes with a good resistance bands workout as opposed to hours doing cardio.

Bands or tubing would most be most effective for you. Working with tubing can also be done in conjunction with an exercise ball. You can also use the tubing as you walk.
The most simple would be basic calisthenics. Body weight provides the resistance. Below are some fantastic books with great workouts.
I also absolutely love the Total Gym. Chuck and Cindy did not lie, and you can get a good, basic unit at any sports store for about $200.
